Nexcare Acne Patch REVIEW!!!!

I actually bought 5 different Nexcare acne patches LOL!
The idea behind these acne patches is that it absorbs the oils and pus from the pimple.

Nexcare Acne Absorbing Cover, Two Sizes, 36 Count
Starting with the 3M Nexcare acne patch 36 patches (on the left).

I wished I had taken a pic of the patches itself but it comes in 2 different sizes.
Comes in a total of 36 patches:
       24 patches in 8mm & 12 patches in 12mm sizes.

It's not so thin enough to put under makeup and not be noticeable. Plus it has a smooth surface so makeup won't adhere to it. I use it at night and it stays on my face even when I toss and turn and even when I wash my face. Kinda gross when I remove it to see pus on it. TMI sorry! lol

To use it's best to wash the face first before applying it! I haven't noticed if this works on black and whiteheads but it did a great job on my zits. I was able to shrink my cyst pimple when it started to form (took a few days and a lot of the patches since the cyst has a lot more oils and pus compared to tiny zits) -__-"
It goes on the skin transparently but by morning when I take it off it has white colored oil/pus on it...(GROSS right?!) lol Same for any acne patch.

For the rest of the four boxes. They all essentially work the same way. The difference is the thickness and the amount of small/large patches. These four boxes come with a pink plastic tweezer to remove the patches from the sheet.

The Orange 3M Nexcare acne care patches comes in 34 small 8mm patches and 12 large 12mm patches. A little thick though but not so bad.

The top right Blue 3M Nexcare acne care patches comes in 30 patches in 0.8cm
great for small zits/pimples. The second most thinnest of all the 5 boxes that I tried.

The bottom left Purple 3M Nexcare acne care patches comes in 50 patches in sizes 0.8cm
This one is great if you have small zits/pimples. Doesn't have the large size.

The bottom right Green 3M Nexcare acne patches comes in 6 patches in 0.8cm & 12 patches in 1.2cm sizes. Personally if you just want to test and try the product this is a good start. I wouldn't buy this box again for the fact there's only 18 patches in total. These are very thin like a sheet of paper though!!!! Which I love but wished it came in more patches. This box is the only one as thin as a sheet of paper.

Can be bought on ebay or amazon. The first box I bought on amazon and the last 4 I bought via ebay.

BAREMINERALS Blemish Therapy & TARTE Smooth Operator™ Amazonian Clay Pressed Finishing Powder REVIEW

Starting with the
TARTE Smooth Operator™ Amazonian Clay Pressed Finishing Powder REVIEW:

I love that it's just like the Smooth Operator™ Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder. But if I had to choose I would go with the Jar version than the pressed powder form. I find that the
Clay Finishing Powder lasts longer than the pressed powder. The pressed powder has a very pleasant smell that's different than the powder form.
Pros:
- Doesn't leave streaky residue
-Great for touch ups throughout the day

Cons
-Very sheer (although a pro than a con for most people)
-Doesn't last very long, touch up is necessary!! This is why I like the powder form.
-Hard to get enough product onto the brush that comes with it (unless you use a powder brush maybe)

BAREMINERALS Blemish Therapy
http://www.sephora.com/productimages/sku/s1318823-main-hero-300.jpg
Used as a treatment that conceals blemishes and helps heal outbreaks. It has a 3% of sulfur as an ingredient as well as tea tree ingredients (as well as other products).

When I first used it, I could smell a bit of the tea tree, which does not bother me (or my nose). I think it's ok for tiny small zits. I wouldn't say it's conceals very good though. I personally would not buy it again. It takes a few days for it to work and see results though. Good to try it out though. It is a bit drying so don't use a lot of it. A little goes a long way! :)

Lioele Pop Tint in Cherry Tint - REVIEW

It didn't dry out my lips but if you have dry lips or any cracks in the lips do not use..it will accentuate it. It's multi functional. You can use this on your lips or cheeks. It's a great dupe to Benefit's Benetint, chacha tint, etc.BONUS: It's way cheaper than the benefit. I also love the nail polish like applicator..It's pretty cool!

Pros:
- Good color pay off
- stains the lips red but is extremely natural looking
- can build a gradient effect
- not drying
- LONG staying power

Cons
- There is a weird taste but it doesn't bother me. I noticed it first when I accidentally licked my lip right after applying it when it was still wet, but if it is dry you won't taste it

The Face Shop - Real Nature Mask Review

There are 15 Real Nature Mask from The Face Shop.
Pomegranate, Blueberry, Acai berry, Lemon, Rice, Olive, Honey, Avocado, Kelp, Mung Bean, Red Ginseng, Cucumber, Aloe, Bamboo & Green Tea

REVIEW TIME

I don't always apply toner (even though I have oily/combo skin). My skin now has been less oily than it has been compared to a year ago. I believe the reason they want us to use the toner before applying the mask is because the essence from the mask can easily absorb more into the skin.

I have never used face masks before and saw these. So I decided to try them out when I needed a "pick me up" or when I felt like multitasking (eg, putting on a mask while watching a movie or doing homework online, etc).

Out of curiosity does anybody put it on overnight? Or longer than intended? I usually leave mines on for 15mins (maybe 30mins if I forget) but no longer than that. Too much or too little nutrition to the skin is bad for you. So I wonder if anyone has left it on overnight before?

This mask itself is very moisturizing. The essence in the mask sheet that is left behind after removing the mask from the pack is more than enough for me to wipe the excess from the pack (after removing the mask from the packet) to my neck and maybe to my hands.

Although I haven't used all 15 kinds of them. I think the scent on most is not as heavy on some as the others. It's not a bad smell either.

Should I do a separate review for each of them?
Comment my post and let me know.

I bought these on amazon, but you can also find them on ebay for cheaper sometimes or amazon.

Laneige BB Cushion Pore Control

With all the craze of the new BB cushions. I decided to try this out. The exact launch date of Laneige BB cushion was on May 1st.  So it hasn't been in he market long.

Laneige has released three different types of their BB Cushion so far.
In chronological order of release date we have the:
- Laneige Snow BB Soothing Cushion (Discontinued)
- Laneige BB Cushion Pore Control

I haven't tried the other two yet, but the pore control BB cushion has a
*Matte finish, higher coverage, pore controlling element and long lasting property (better for oily skin).

My first impression
FREAKING AWESOME!!! From the coverage to the consistency etc. I love that it's SPF 50 too ^^ Pretty sweet!! :)
Color range
The only available colors in Korea is from brightest to darkest, 13, 14, and 21 Natural Beige (which I bought). I'm not sure if they will come out with more shade selections but I would hope and assume so).

I bought this in #21 and it is sadly a bit light for my NC25 skin. HOWEVER! If you are NC20 you can pull this off, I can't wait till winter to wear it around.

Consistency
The interesting thing is that it has a cooling sensation. It refreshing on your skin (but the cooling feeling doesn't stays on for awhile, about 5 seconds or so). It's not necessarily light weight but it totally depends on whether you're using a light hand or not. If you layer it on or use more than what would be necessary, then it really felt heavy and uncomfortable on the skin. So a sheer layer to the face would make it feel light and weightless.
Coverage
Medium to high. It's definitely buildable but I don't want to recommend you to layer on more. There's a possibility of getting into fine lines or being caked up when it's applied more than twice layers. But a single layer provides you just enough coverage that gets you satisfied. I suggest you incorporate with a concealer if needed.
Plus it's summer so why do we want to add layers to our face?

How long does it stay?
It's pretty long lasting that I've noticed. It doesn't become cakey as far as I noticed either. But tt's summer and I haven't experienced any 100F degree weather so we will see.

3 Concept Eyes (3CE) Nursing Cream Review!!

With no preservatives it contains argan oil, olive oil and palm tree seed butter extracted from murumuru trees grown in clean areas.

It says it is recommended:
  • If you have dry skin (If you have oily skin you can use it too! I did!! LOL)
  • If your skin easily dries out
  • If you want glowing, dewy makeup
Uses of Nursing Cream:
  • As a nutritional/moisturising cream at night: Get sufficient amount and melt it smoothly using hands and apply on your face after basic steps. You will witness a whole new level of smoothness and moist the morning after!
  • To get glowing make-up: When putting on make-up base, melt it on your fingertips and absor it on your face thoroughly. Skip using powder if you want a perfect, healthy glow. If you think the texture is too heavy you can apply it after foundation. Apply on areas that reflect light.
  • On dry areas: Face, lips, eyes, elbows, you name it. Apply on wherever you feel dry.
Multifunctional:
You can apply on your lips, heel, dry elbows, before make-up, etc.

Direction:
Scoop out a small amount (there is a mini spatula included) and melt it using hands. Then apply to face over or under makeup.

I love this! It's not greasy like you would think it is since it is essentially an "oil type balm". I love that it's multifunctional and it's a must in my new skincare routine!!

Nature Republic Super Origin Collagen BB Cream SPF25PA++

It says it contains:
-450ppm of collagen
-Hawaiian Deep Sea Water
 -UV protection
-reduces wrinkles and improves elsaticity
-whitening effect
-Extracted from acacia flower which gives a lifting effect and keeps a moist skin.

This BB Cream is quite differently formulated compared to many of the other BB Creams I’ve tried from Korea. It leaves my skin a little shiny after use and a dewy to the touch. HOWEVER, I  would say this is very moisturizing and does blend into my skin quite well. It absorbs easily into my skin and I can pretty much skip moisturizer when using it as it acts as both a moisturizer and a base product.

Unlike the Nature Republic Super Origin CC cream (in Tinted), I don't mind this product so much due to that it does cover minor red sports and can conceal little blemishes (I think you can build it up though). Unlike other BB creams, the consistency isn't heavy or quite as thick.
.
It has a light floral scent that disappears once applied. Overall I think the product is worth trying.

Nature Republic Super Origin CC Cream (SPF30/PA++) in TINTED ~REVIEW~!!

This CC Cream is quite differently formulated compared to many of the other CC Creams I’ve been trying from Korea. It leaves my skin a little shiny after use and a dewy to the touch. It absorbs easily into my skin and I can pretty much skip moisturizer when using it as it acts as both a moisturizer and a base product. However I'm an oily/combination person and don't like being shiny. But it does give that brightening shimmer effect.

I’d recommend this as more of a winter product though due to the hydrating formula. However I don't think this is super hydrating for dry skins.

It’s pretty sheer and doesn’t offer much concealing. It has SPF 30 and claims to treat finer lines.

It is disappointing. This is unfortunately to sheer to cover any blemish and redness.
The color is a creamy ivory with pinkish undertones. It has a light floral scent that disappears once applied.

Overall I wouldn't buy this product.

Missha M Matte BB Cream & Missha M Prefect Cover BB cream review

Missha M Vita BB Cream Matte
Consistency: light
Coverage: pretty light
Shade: I want to say NW15. Shade is comparable to M Perfect Cover #21 Light Beige. So i would use this in the fall/winter when I am lighter tone.
Benefits: SPF 20 pa+++, Vita Complex is comprised of 7 essential vitamins (Vitamin B3, B5, C, E, F, H, and Q) to improve skin and enhance skin vitality.
Oil-control: Good for oily skins but if you suffer from really bad acnelike cystic acne this isn't for you. I did have to blot a few hours later and it isn't completely a matte finish even though it did say "matte". I would use a light powder.
Bottom line: Nice overall the color is nice after oxidizing.

Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream No. 23
Consistency: light to medium
Coverage: I don't think this does anything for pore coverage/control, but the color is nice after oxidizes and blends into the skin.
Shade: NC25-30 and leans grey
Benefits: SPF 42 pa+++, moisturizing, softens skin texture
Oil-control: Low. Fine for dry skin, oily girls will need to blot and I mean BLOT!!
Bottom line: Nice overall skin texture and moisture improvement.

These swatches are on my hand.

HERA CC Cream Review :)

Lately I've been wanting to try CC creams so today I wanted to review the Hera CC Cream, which comes in two shades:

  • 01 Pink Beige for pink understones
  • 02 Natural Beige for yellow understones
Instead of the BB creams we all know (or should know since it's been out on the American market too LOL), the CC creams has more skin care ingredients; however, it has less coverage than a BB cream (bummer).

Hera's CC Cream is also known as the 'Photoshop Cream' as it's suppose to give you a "natural airbrushed finish".

For packaging, it comes in a plastic tube with a pump at the end and a cap (as you can see in the picture). I really love the simplicity of the packaging. As usual there is a pump so no need to fear of bacteria or anything (bonus points for that!). There is a fragrance you pump it though, it isn't strong nor unpleasant (as least to me) but I did notice it when I first tried it. The smell will go away though no worries. :)

**Review Time**

I ordered this in shade 02 natural beige.
Again for a reference I'm NC20-NC25 range.

For my first cc cream, I'm really impressed with Hera. For my somewhat oily/combo skin, it does hold pretty well although I do have to use a finishing powder to set it or my oils really will seep through.

It does have a moisturizing effect and doesn't give off an "oily" appearance when you apply it unlike most BB creams (I still have to use a setting powder though).

I've tried this CC cream for about 3-4wks and so I still switching my primer around to see which will make it last longer without getting me oily. So with primer and powder, I think on average it took about 6 hours for my skin to start getting oily so it did last me till I was done with classes (YAY!).

without cc cream

blending in the cc cream
with cc cream

But as you can see you can still see a tiny bit of color from my veins. CC creams doesn't have a high coverage as the BB creams. So on my face it doesn't cover all of any redness I have (like around the nose), so I can either use concealer or dab a tiny bit more over the area. But as for acne scars or pimples, I would suggest you use concealer. It doesn't cover my undereye circles that well either (trust me mines are horrible LOL).

NOTE: I do have to warn you that I reccomend using a primer under the eyes before putting a primer under the eyes or it may cause a tiny bit of creasing.

Overall, I would buy this again.
I'm also waiting till I try other CC creams.

EM Cosmetics review

Okay..seriously YAY! I've been wanting to try some of the em cosmetics products ever since Michelle Phan had launched her official EM cosmetics line.

So the products I purchased were:
  • chiaroscuro (contour and highlighter stick) in light
  • shade play (concealer color mixing palette) in light
  • shade play (lip color mixing palette) in Mix it Up Reds
  • shade play (artistic eye color palette) in London Greys
  • waterliner (intense color eyeliner) in Black Night & In the Nude

shade play in color mix it up reds

shade play (lip color mixing palette) in Mix it Up Reds:

Now it says it has 2 classic (top two), 2glossy (middle two), and 2 matte (bottom two) colors.

I have to say I am disappointed with the 'Mix it Up Reds' lip palette, b/c my lips are already pigmented and so no matter how I mix the shades it seems to apply as a sheer tint on me.

So it's a no go for me; however, I want to try the mix it up pinks & plums. >_<" But price wise it's still a no go for me.

chiaroscuro in color light tones

chiaroscuro (contour and highlighter stick) in light:
I have to admit I absolutely LOVE the chiaroscuro stick!!! I think I have to carry it with me everywhere now (^~^)"  Just be careful when using the highlight part though.

Here is a swatch on my arm. For reference my arm is darker than my face okay. But I'm a NC20-NC25 range in the winter & NC25-NC30 in the summer.

     in color light

shade play (concealer color mixing palette) in light:

As for the concealer palette, I do like that you can mix and match the colors. I think the I needed more of the salmon color for my under eyes though. I did have a little creasing but as I'm switching to a new primer I get less of it.

TIP: Get half of a tissue paper to blot the oils on the face and foundation before using a powder. It'll last longer and crease less.

shade play in color london greys

shade play (artistic eye color palette)
    in London Greys:

LOVE the colors. I love blues but don't wear them often. My favorite color would be the copper, grey and dark navy together.

    waterliner (intense color eyeliner)
in Black Night & In the Nude

I won't swatch these since it's true as the name implies.
I really do love the waterliners, BUT the down side it that you are ONLY getting 0.28g worth of product for the price of $18 (new price cut, it was
$21.65 when I got these). It's not worth the price.

However, it is great for those with sensitive eyes and contact lens users. It does have a sponge applicator and sharpener at the bottom for convenience. You would have to smudge quickly though with the sponge applicator or it won't move or budge anymore.

With the color "In the Nude". I did not have any transfers and I use this best for my lower waterline.

With the color "Black Night". It didn't budge on my upper lash line, but when I blink I did get minor barely noticeable transfer onto my bottom eyeline. But this was fixed by putting eyeshadow on my lower eyeline or waiting a few seconds to it to "dry" and not transfer.

It is a bit hard to take off, but I use my marykay oil-free eye makeup remover and it takes it off in one or two swipes with a cotton pad. :)

You can purchase them @ http://www.emcosmetics.com/
Also she now has international shipping for anyone overseas!  :D
As well as reduced prices (not by much but...) YAY!

TARTE: Pure Maracuja Oil & Maracuja C-Brighter Eye Treatment REVIEW

So toay I went to sephora and picked up the TARTE: Pure Maracuja Oil & Maracuja C-Brighter Eye Treatment. This was $10.

    According to the sephora website:

Pure maracuja oil is rich in vitamin C, it makes the skin appears instantly brighter and more radiant. Usually this retails at $46 at sephora.

It says to use the maracuja oil:

Maracuja C-Brighter Eye Treatment has maracuja fruit- and vitamin C-infused. It is a multitasking eye-treatment that visibly hydrates, firms, and brightens the delicate eye-area. 252 Coastal Scents Pallete review

My 252 Coastal Scents Pallete from Coastal Scents has arrived along with the eight eyeshadow pots.

I'm super happy because I initially wanted the 120 palette but saw this on saw during the xmas holiday.

    front
    back
When I received the packaging it was bubble wrapped around the box (gotta love that they were careful).
After opening the box it does come the palette itself was also in another bubble wrap and inside (I'm not sure if you can tell in the pictures but it does have a shrink wrap layer on all three tiers, plus it  comes with the plastic sheet cover, and unlike the 88 palette that I have this does not come with a mirror.

(Here is a close up of the 3 tiers)

    1st Tier
    Greens - Taupes- Silver/grey - sea foam green/blue - Blues

    2nd Tier
    Yellows - Oranges -Reds - Browns/Golds

    3rd Tier
    Purples - Fuchsia - Yellow - Brown - Green - to pastels

NOTE: For the pastels colors I had to build the colors up though. Not all the colors were swatched so I cannot say that all the colors are 100% pigmented; however, it is a vivid beautiful color if you build the color (for the ones that aren't as pigmented).

Random Swatches from the 1st Tier w/o Flash

Random Swatches from the 1st Tier w/ Flash

Random Swatches from the 2st Tier w/o Flash

Random Swatches from the 2st Tier w/ Flash

Random Swatches from the 3rd Tier w/o Flash

Random Swatches from the 3rd Tier w/ Flash
My only problem is that, the pans are very small compared the the 88 palette (not sure about 120 but I would assume that it is).
In the 252 palette the website says the diameter of the eyeshadow pans are 0.3" (0.762 cm).
In the 88 palette it is 0.62" (1.6cm) in diameter.

You can purchase them @ http://coastalscents.com/
Originally they are $24.95 but I got them during the holiday break so it was $14.97.
